Actually there are many guys who are looking for commitment.
If you keep on having this issue it is because you keep on going after the guys who aren't looking for anything more than a good time.
Want commitment? You'll find it. first I think you need to change the types of guys you think you're attracted to as they aren't the ones it seems that are looking for committing.
See we "nice guys", the boring ones are looking but you women seem to keep on going for the ones that are exciting. There are "Dads" and "Cads". The "Dads" are the guys who'll be there. We aren't flashy and we don't always know what to say. In fact we most often have no clue.
The "Cads" are the fun guys. The guys who can sweep you off your feet in a bar, use you and then you pine away waiting for them to call back.
Your choice on what you're really looking for in a guy.

Scared of getting hurt. Scared of getting tied down and missing out on something better that might come along. Theres alot of reasons why guys and girls will pull away from love. If he is apprehensive about accepting his feelings for you/your feelings for him, you can either be patient or get frustrated and leave. I think if he is a really great guy, you should give him a chance.
Connecting is an emotionally exposing thing... you're putting yourself out there and its scary!! What if he tells you all about him and you don't find him attractive anymore? There are many levels of ourselves that we expose to different people... like an onion... the deeper you get, the stinkier. It takes time and patience to build that trust. Share more about yourself, don't expect him to share back... just give and recieve what he's willing to give and don't push is the best way to nurture this blooming relationship.

Some women are very controlling and want to change the guy after they're together. Maybe it's the bossy, controlling nature of the woman in the picture. I'm not saying women should be quiet and passive but the loud, yappy nonsense that you hear would be a real turn off if I were a guy.

Yes some guys are scared of a woman trying to get too close to them because some guys are in it for the fun not the long haul.

Yes, guys are sometimes scared of commitment when they have lots of things on their mind besides that like school or work. Give him time, either he'll say yes or no.

Either they are scared, the commitment stuff is new to them or they are entirely not interested with the commitment side of a relationship.
