IF the marinade is acidic, as most of them are, it is not a good idea. The marinade will etch into the metal and give a tinny taste to the meat. Go with glass or Corning ware instead.

Not a good idea. Metal contains toxins, better to use glass bowl, or baking dish. Even a giant sized Z-Lock Bag is great. Seals in the marinade ingredients.

Yes., As long as it is a stainless steel pot. stainless steel is a non reactive metal. never marinate in cast iron!

Glass dish is better, no chemical reactions with the glass dish.

not a good idea. use a ziplock bag. it's easy and airtight.
