People should move with caution regarding a cause like this. While I'd agree with those you criticize that it should be up to a woman whether she wants to sell her body, the practical effect of legalizing prostitution could backfire in a big way. Legalization may be able to help solve some problems, like the spread of disease. It might help with the child-sex problem, or it might make it worse. Since current prostitution laws do little to end the enslavement of women, something should change. I'm just not sure whether it would be best to get tougher or relax the laws--it seems the in-between status of prostitution (illegal but you barely get punished) may contribute to the power held over these women.

By legalizing it, the government can regulate it. By regulating it, the government can offer more protection to the woment. By regulating it, the government can move it to places in the area that won't be affected negatively by it (out of neighborhoods in otherwords).

Just look at Nevada. It's clean and it's safe, and the women earn low to mid 6 figures a year with no education and working 30 hours/week. And, that is taxable income as well.

Prostitution is a victimless crime that hurts no-one exceot for the busy bodies that want to stick their noses in other people's beds.

It is immoral to legalize prostitution. They call it a victimless crime, but this is the furthest thing from the truth. Prosititution leads to a myriad of other associated crimes.

We think so because prostitution isn't any different than what dating is. You're still spending money on women either way.

If two consenting adults want to exchange sex for money, why should you stick your nose into it?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Most normal relationships have an element of this anyway. He takes you to a nice dinner, buys you things, you sleep with him..whats the difference.
