VET NOW!!!!
The rubber in the ball will swell when exposed to the dogs stomach acid long enough causing an even greater risk for a bowel obstruction than the ball already is posing on its own. Your dog will get violently ill and die if you don't get him seen now!!!!
Unless it was a teeny tiny ball and you have SEEN it come out the other end.
For the time being, stop feeding the dog, only let him have a bit of water and only if it takes too long to get him to the vet.
Your best bet would be to keep him NPO(nothing by mouth) just in case the doctor decides to take him into surgery right away.
NOW GO!!!!!

Go to the vet RIGHT NOW. It will get stuck and if it is not removed it will kill the dog. First the dog will go through agony. It is already causing problems which is why he is throwing up.

Depending on the ball it may be wedged so that some food or water can be absorbed. If not, the dog will be suffering from dehydration soon.

This was obviously an accident, so no one will be angry at your friend when she gets the dog to the vet. If she lets the ball stay in there for a couple of days, that becomes abuse or neglect depending on local laws.

The longer she waits the more the dog will suffer, the higher the vet bill will be and if she waits too long she could be in legal trouble---so GO NOW!

Good luck.

Oh gosh! He is going #2 though? My dog swallowed one of those bouncy balls and he had to have his stomach cut open. He was a Golden Retriever (just passed last month at 12yrs), but in his case, he was not going "potty". Then, he did the same thing about 3 years later by swallowing a sock. Anyhow, in your case, I would have him checked out by a vet ASAP. This could be very harmful to your dog.

Take the dog to the vet before it becomes an obstruction.(sounds like it already is) I had a dog once that swallowed a golf ball. My vet gave him laxatives and we waited to see how it progressed until it passed. Yes it was expensive. Your friend may be looking at surgery. Not uncommon.

I would absolutely take the dog to the vet. It is possible there is an obstruction that will prevent him from getting the nutrients he needs. At least call the vet. This could be fatal if not seen about. Since you said he is going to the toilet properly I am not sure if you mean urinating or having a bowel movement but it could be that he is passing things previously digested.
GET HIM TO THE VET NOW!!!

Get that dog to a vet to be xrayed to see where it ended up it may eventually block something and that would be horrible, I may have to be removed before it lodges somewhere else.

You need to take him to the vet which is what your friend should've done in the first place. This is important. They will probably take an x-ray and may have to do surgery so I hope she is financially prepared.

Vet ASAP. The fact that he has been sick shows he has a blockage. He will be dead within 24 hours if you do not get him to a vet.

He could of digested it and pooped it out but also it may be too big to digest. Also if it even could digest maybe it would take a long time since it is bigger than usual things the dog eats/swallows. You may have to contact a vet if he is getting sick and see if they could take it out or will he poop it out. Maybe they will give him some medicine to help him digest it. Good Luck.

take the dog to the vet as it has probably blocked him up and he will be in pain. He will more than likely need an operation to remove it
