You do not need to pay any tution fees to homeschool! All you need is some workbooks, pencils, pens, paper, and a student. In fact, you don't even need workbooks! However, that is the way many new homeschoolers start.
First, you must access your daughter's learning style. Is she a visual, hands-on, hearing, or textbook learner?
Then, you can start researching curriculums that will work with her learning style.
After deciding and buying a curriculum, look at your state laws. If you must notify the state, write them a letter and withdraw your daughter from school.
While you are finishing up the details, give your daughter about 2 weeks to detox from public school. Bring her to the library and let her pick out some books to read. Let her watch educational tv. Have her write. Just do little activities that are fun and educational.
After that period, you can start using your curriculum.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I am homeschooled and love it.

Do an internet search and find out if there are any home school support groups in your area. Then there are many sites that can help you home school on a minimum amount of money.
Here is a link to one I like:
http://www.homeschoolingonashoestring.com/
How much money you spend on curriculum is up to you and what type of curriculum you choose. I know families that spend $1000 or more per child each year on curriculum. This year I spent under $500 for 3 children.
You just have to look for everything that is available to you and make informed decisions for you and your family.
Here are a couple other sites I use to read reviews of curriculum before I buy:
http://eho.org/
http://www.homeschoolreviews.com/
http://www.homeschoolingfromtheheart.com/hsreviews.html
http://www.hsadvisor.com/
I hope that helps get you started. My best advice is find other homeschool families and ask lots of questions.
And I will recommend the curriculum we use for our 7th grade son. Alpha Omega's Switched On Schoolhouse. All his school work is on the computer, he gets on in the morning and does all his work and loves it!

home-schoolers often have an association or local organization... check out ads on church bulletin boards, health food stores.... call churches... make sure you know what is required and what is not required by the state. Is it Benton Illinois? Search google/yahoo under "home schooling Benton Illinois".

I don't know much about the free programs available (aside from the "do it yourself" stuff) but I do know that Calvert offers financial aid and payment plans.
