We can't just come and live in your country without the paperwork so what is your point? You just want it your way...is that it?

Right on! As an American I, like you, do not understand why we make it difficult for the UK to immigrate to the US. We speak the same language, are culturally intertwined, and as you stated are close allies. British citizen's are also well educated and a great source of "brain power" for the U.S.

Instead, the US government seems to encourage immigration (legal or otherwise) from the poor and uneducated. We even give poor immigrants access to our welfare programs -- section 8 (subsidised) housing, food stamps, and health care!

I guess my answer is "I don't know why we make it harder for culture's similar to ours to live in our country. It is grossly unfair, both to the UK and to the USA. I know that the silent, gagged by political correctness, majority agrees.

You can if you do the work, and you have relevant skills. But we don't need a bunch of extra people who don't bring anything useful to the country - we have to ensure Americans get the good jobs before giving them to immigrants. I know - I am one!

Our government also controls immigration based on race. They want to encourage an ethnically diverse population, so various countries (including the UK and Mexico) are barred from the annual 'green card lottery'. That used to be an easy way for Brits to get to the US.

i'm English and that i like it right here, yet i could elect to bypass to us of a of america given which you all look so friendly and the climate consistently looks sunny and you have stunning beaches and it sounds like diverse exciting! In maximum of england that's in many circumstances chilly and each so often wet, we do not likely have beaches the place you may lay approximately in a swimming gown - you in many circumstances want a coat and scarf and fly kites and stuff like that. besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is real that the properties in us of a of america are greater beneficial simply by fact us of a of america is a greater united states of america as a result the land is greater on your funds, while Britain is smaller so land is greater costly, so which you have greater beneficial properties. it relatively is real that there are some vast, fancy properties right here, yet there are vast properties in each united states of america. I stay in a common length living house and so do all of my associates, and that i don't be attentive to everybody with a fancy automobile. To you us of a of america could look uninteresting, yet to us England ought to look uninteresting simply by fact we've been there all our lives and choose directly to discover. i think of oil is greater costly simply by fact we ought to purchase it from different international locations, yet i'm not too specific on that (i'm basically 14). And if your lady chum suggested she will have the money for each thing extremely then you relatively men are relatively fortunate!!

The easiest way for you to do that is to go to Mexico on a vacation and then you can just walk on over here. We will raise your kids on food stamps and welfare, Medical will be free, we will educate them free and then you can even have all kinds of kids that will be born FREE as legal citizens. We`ll give you a job And then you can even find some big hefty ugly woman, marry her and then your in dude. Free and clear.
No disrespect to you UK. Honest...We would much rather have you here... This was a derogatory remark towards the immigration problem we are having here
