Sometimes. It depends on how long the dreadlocks have been in. If they've been there for too long, they will have to be cut. You could use a conditioner to soften the hair up before attempting to pull the dreads down. Just roll in the opposite direction until the begin to loosen. If they don't really loosen and you cannot remove them on your on, than more likely than not, they will have to be cut and you wil have to grow your hair back out. Good luck and be careful.

soak your hair in conditioner for 2 days with a bag on your head then get 1 of your friends to pick away

it depends on your hair texture & how long you've had them...some peoples hair take a long time to lock so they my be able to take them out sooner...if they are really long and have been in for a while then u will have to cut them off & start from scratch..

how long have you had them in I once had dread locks once I had I friend take them out it took a really long time and I had to cut my hair very short but its worth it good luck on that

Only a couple inches from the root, the rest has to be cut off.
