Boy oh Boy--- big question. My answer would be both yes and no. I do not think there is a personal survival. I think that by our actions we leave behind a legacy for the next generation. In that way, what we do affects them. I do not think "I " will be reborn as another "I" . But whatever is reborn will be affected by what I do, by what we all do. "WE" just gotta leave behind the best we can.

Yes, reincarnation is a reality.

Re that "once to die" claim:
http://www.jjwritings.com/books/reincarnation_and_the_bible/index.html

Reincarnation is a natural law which most people are not aware of. I was a kid like the ones described by Dr. Ian Stevenson http://www.childpastlives.org who came into the world with memories of my most recent life. When I began talking, I often insisted to my mom that I had "another mother" and I wanted to know why she wasn't there with me. And when I began walking, I slipped out the back door toward the woods, determined to find my way back home. I always knew my name and many details of my life, and some of the circumstances around my death. I knew nothing about reincarnation at that time, and I can remember feeling so confused when I was very young, wondering if I was the only person in the world who had "come back" in a new body. I felt that I had been cursed by 'God' to reincarnate, when no one else had.

It's my belief that one of the reasons I remember this past life is to have the opportunity to share the experience with others and let them know that reincarnation is real - whether they believe it or not. It's a message of hope, and it's the Rosetta Stone that clarifies 'God' in ways that no religion could ever do.

I have researched this most recent past life of mine and proved beyond all doubt to myself and those who know me that the memories I was born with are genuine recollections of myself in another time and place - but proof wasn't necessary - I've always *known* I was here before.

Reincarnation is real whether you believe in it or not. Jesus was an Essene rabbi who taught karma and reincarnation.

The Dead Sea Scrolls indicate that Jesus was a leader among the Jewish sect known as Essenes, although Christianity as a whole reject this idea --for much the same reason the Jews rejected Jesus: it doesn't fit in with their preconceived ideas about what the messiah is supposed to be.

Essenes were vegetarians who knew about REINCARNATION, and taught healing and peace.

As a matter of fact, Judaism has always accepted reincarnation, but early Christian leaders set up the church to give themselves exclusive, dictatorial control over the souls of men. Only they could read and interpret the ancient writings (and delete and modify scriptures which undermined their authority).

Modern day Christianity refuses to believe Jesus was an Essene and a Reincarnationist, but their inability to accept Jesus as he really was doesn't change the truth.

Verily, verily, you must be born again. Verily, verily = truly, literally. They corrupted the interpretation but not the message. Reincarnation is the only religious value which is capable of honoring God as an absolutely just and perfect entity. Organized religions make God out to be an ignorant, vindictive monster. Reincarnation is the only religious value which makes sense of life and the cosmos.

Yes to both questions, reincarnation is a componant part of Vedic knowledge and it is possible to use regression therapy to recall previous lives, for skeptics the only way to understand this, is to understand your real identity as an eternal spirit soul, rather then the material body. Vedic understanding must be learned in its entirity to gain knowledge of the science of reincarnation and release from the cycle of the repetition of birth and death.

With this in mind, there is no question that reincarnation is a reality, we, as individual spirit souls are reincarnating within these very bodies, the material body is composed of gross molecules and atomic particles, that are constantly changing, every seven years each cell is completely replaced, so the body we had seven years ago is different to the body we have now, this is reincarnation, even within this life.

At the end of this life when the gross material body is no longer operational, being simply a temporary biological machine, then the subtle material mind replays the events of one's life, those events in one's life that are most prominant propel the spirit soul, the real self, to the next destination, the basis for this to happen is by the activities that we perform and the desires that are most prominant, man proposes and God disposes.

If we live a spiritual life, with activities and desires to please the Supreme, then the original spiritual body is revived and we can return home, back to Godhead, however if the desires are more worldly then we will attain another material body perfectly suited to the mentality that we have developed whilst being in the human form of life, therefore the knowledge of the science of reincarnation is of paramount importance to understand.

The early Christian church also taught reincarnation, up untill the 6th century A.D., in 553 A D when the Roman empire started to collapse, the emperor Justinian at the 5th Ecumenical council at Constantinople removed and altered the teachings of Jesus to gain more social control over the uneducated masses, by establishing the "scare tactic" of a singular life, as anyone who opposed these types of alterations was considered a heretic, it is not difficult to understand how these gross misconceptions came to be accepted.

Generally the memories of previous lives are eradicated when the soul leaves the previous body, otherwise it would be very difficult to function in this life with the attachments and memories of the last, the burden of these memories would be unbearable. The memories we carry around from just one life are sometimes sorely distressing. Multiply such memories manyfold, and they would surpass our ability to deal with them.

The primary purpose of the human form of life however is to revive or in Christian terms, ressurect, the original spiritual body that is covered over by the gross material elements and subtle conditioned mind, therefore it is vital to approach a bona-fide spiritual master to receive the knowledge by which the living entity can transcend the cycle of the repetition of birth and death and return home, back to Godhead.

No more or less than heaven, hell, god, gods, ghosts etc. We'll probably never know because if it is a reality, no one remembers their past lives to confirm it, and if the 'do' they are branded liars or frauds or as being mad.

The great thing about religion and reincarnation is there is absolutely no way that it can be proved one way or another so we can keep on arguing and fighting about it until we all die and go to hell, heaven, into a new body or compost... depending on what you believe and what might actually be the case.

Our spirits are supposed to live a range of lives. Kind of like "walking a
mile in another mans moccasins". That way, we can't look down our nose at anyone else.
But all the reincarnating 999 times, is spirits farting around in Heaven,
just like humans procrastinate and waste time on Earth.

Yes, of course. I knew you back in 1861. We were Union soldiers together in the Civil War. Your name was Brandon McNutty and I was Michael Haloworth. By the way, we lost the war pal. See you in the next life.

Ask your cow and if he says yes for gods sake don't eat it...LOL
As for life after death we will all just have to wait and see. If you have faith that process will be easier, if you don't you might just love every day a little bit more.
