I have the Conair Instant Heat Dual Ionic Hair Setter and it's fantastic. The rollers have a kind of velour-ish type fabric on them so they don't rip your hair out like cheap sets and the rollers come in 3 different sizes so you can have big waves or tight curls. Everytime I've used them my hair has come out shiny and perfect--very good set (and they're only about $30)

it really depends on the kinda of curl you are looking for. If you want big loose curls then get heated rollers. At Wal-mart you can get heated rollers for about $12. They are Remington brand, and the box says "All That" These rollers heat up in 90 seconds and already come in a travel pack! if you want tight spiral curls then you should go for the long Rubber curlers! That will give you small tight "corkscrew" curls! You can probably get this type of curler around $15-20.
Good Luck!

I've tried so many times to curl my hair with normal heated rollers and it always turned out rubbish. I have no got some Nicky Clarke bendy heated rollers and they are fab!!! I think they were only about £17 as well! Bargain! They give me lovely curls and I team them with Tony and Guy's Beach Curls spray which holds my curls in for ages! (And it smells nice too)!

I'll probably go with the long bendy rubber ones cause heated rollers would just mess your hair up. Damn it LOLÜ

Not the heated rollers. You should use the plastic, magnetic rollers with the smooth barrel. They will make your curls hold longer and you can roll your hair up while it's wet. Heat is damaging to your hair especially if you plan to use your heated rollers daily. I use the plastic rollers every night.

i prefer the heated rollers they give more of a flicked natural look where as the bendy papilon style make the curls tighter!

Molecular steam rollers are really good. They are gentler on the hair as they don't subject your hair to direct heat and cause less damage compared to heated rollers. And they work just as well.
