It seems that there are so many people today that overvalue themselves. When they order a personalized item such as a business card, etc, it their name doesn't look a certain way or their picture doesn't look a certain way, the want it done again and again although there isn't anything wrong with the card. When doing business with someone from a card, do you really care about the way their picture looks (where it is on the card) and what font is used? They should more effort into what they do rather than how their face looks on a card. And who really noticed the font on a business card of a doctor?

I agree spelling is important but many people come in wanting their card to look like someone elses even though their info and layout has to be different. If they have 6 lines you can't make it look the same as the sample they brought in of someone elses card that has 10 lines a different size picture and a different paper type, etc. Some of these people are hideous ugly and no picture is going to look good.

Well, even though it may not seem like it, a business card is really important, in this society where everybody just cares about how u look, or what do you do and stuffs like that u need to give a good impression, and imagine!, the first thing that a person gets is that card, imagine if its all mess up, the person would look at the professional and think "um, imagine if this little thing look so bad, how bad of a doctor [profesional] he must be", in little things there is a lot of importance, of course, some people are OVER the edge, and they think that everything HAS TO BE PERFECT, and they should in that case give more importance to things like, studying or being a better practitioner or person, but it depends, anyways...u DO HAVE A GOOD POINT, i hope people like that dont bother you that often hehe, good luck!

I think in some instances, yes, people need to get over themselves.

However, when they're ordering something and paying for the service, it's certainly within their rights to have it the way they want it. If it's free, then you're right, no need to complain.

But when someone *pays* for something, it's the duty of the provider to give them what they're paying for.

Just because it's unimportant to you doesn't mean it's wrong for it to be important to someone else.

There are certain rules in advertising. One of them is that eye appeal is a huge part of making a first impression. When people pull out a business card and it's not visually appealing, the cards will not have the full impact that they could. And when you're trying to promote a business, that's just not good.

Are you satisfied with your own answer? If you want another opinion...I think it is important because business cards are a "little picture" of yourselves...they are the way you present yourself to other business people...if somebody handed me a bc full of grammatical errors, misspelled numbers or letters, I'd think he's not too serious with his business...the same is dress code...you have to look nice and neat and clean if you want to do business...same as doctors wear white coats...it's like that...and I think it's right. And I think it doesn't have anything to do with people getting over themselves...It's just work ethics...

actually a business card is very important. i don't know what type of job u do, but it sounds like u r in the printing business. it matters very much, a business card is almost like a resume. u want your name to be spelled correctly and u want a nice professional picture, since people judge by appearance.

Those people are simply perfectionists. They think that jobs must be done according to instructions and with accuracy.

People who thinks something is just ok and not so meticulous enough to see the details are exactly the opposite of perfectionists.

People are paying you for a service and if it is not done right then they have the right to ask that it be done again. If you get upset everytime someone wants the work re-done you will alienate your customers.
