The great Christian writer C.S. Lewis said that in order to deny God you have to first believe in God. By Biblical definition, faith is hope in things unseen; therefore, if a person desires something, or something to occur and is not in front of them, this requires faith. But faith in who? There must be a force or intelligence that puts into motion whatever it is that will provide the thing or situation desired. The world operates on the tangible, so faith in the world means automatic failure, because the world could care less. All faith must be God centered.

I'm not an Atheist but that is hard to describe.
Existence of love and will are "hard to prove" with the physical evidence they want to see.
Have money could be the best wording because it is tangible and physical.
Feelings could not possibly be involved as there is no physical proof at to their existence.

Nice question.

Be strong believe in yourself, you might not get the result that you are hoping for now but that might mean you get an even better result because of that in the near future. You never know your luck, one thing is certain it's not up to any Father Christmas style figure but if you are immature, pray also it can't hurt.

Atheists have no faith in a god or gods. That doesn't mean they have no faith. I have faith that you'll read this answer. In that example I have faith in you to read it, not in God to make you.
If you have some problem with the word faith, you could substiture 'hope' quite easily.

planning, determination, focus, confidence, optimism, inner strength.

Sometimes it seems that all it takes for me to make a change is to visualize the outcome, and then act on every opportunity that is consistent with the outcome. I wonder if this is why some theists think that prayer is effective?

Why not the word hope? "Hope" shouldn't equate to a belief in deities. We hope it's not time to get up when we open our eyes from a nice dream five seconds before the alarm goes off.

At least I do.

hope

Oh yes, since I believe in God, that means I automatically ignore facts...

Being an Atheist, doesn't make a person anymore logical then anyone else.

Most athiests I know go by facts. I am guessing if the facts point to sadness they let it happen and draw on their own inner strength.
