You mentioned Fed Med/EE and Fed OASDI/Disability is 7.65% for those w/income less than $90,000. What is the % for salary >$90,000?
Also, in my previous job, I did not see Fed OASDI deduction in my check stub, does it mean the Employer paid for the whole amount?

If you do not see any calculations in your pay stub that equate to 6.2% or 1.45% or 7.65% of your pay (after adjusting for FICA-free benefits, maybe your employer was treating you as self-employed. You need to know, because that then means the IRS will come to you for the whole 15.3%.

OASDI Old age survivors and disability insurance is your social security and medicare payment amounts that your employer withholds form your gross wages earnings for the pay period and the amounts or reported to the SSA. This amount does not have anything to do with the state. It may be possible for California to have some type of disability insurance deduction amounts from your gross pay and you will have to verify this information with your employers payroll department as to what it is for. But NO you will not collect from both if you were to become disabled if California does have one or if you are paying some funds for a disability insurance amount out of some of your after income tax funds. Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful and good luck to you.

FICA (6.2%) and Medicare (1.45%) total 7.65%.
$90,000 was the wage limit for 2005. for 2006, the first $94,200 will be taxed. for amounts above that, only the Medicare tax of 1.45% will be applied.

Fed OASDI is also referred to as FICA , so maybe you saw that instead. But no, your employer wouldnt pay for your taxes due.
