As a registered voter, I participate in the elections process very strongly. If a person of Muslim faith was elected, I would accept them, as I do with other presidents that I didn't vote for. In the past, just because a particular candidate didn't win doesn't mean I try to join in overthrowing them.

No I didn't try to overthrow the first Catholic either but someone shot him. If he was elected by a majority why would an American try to overthrow him. Isn't that what America is all about freedom of race and religion. What are you some kind of Atheist Heathen. Kisses Betty

If he is legally elected I would accept him. I am a law abiding citizen and do not want to apply force to overthrow the U.S. government or any part of it. If I do not like somebody at power I will cast my vote against him during the next election.

I don't want to be rude but it is not likely. America has yet to elect a woman, a non-white and anyone who expresses non-christian beliefs. It is not an issue that will occur in any time in the near future because America is too prejudice against so many things. Until we have a non-white, non-male president, I don't think non-christian will come.
If it did happen in my lifetime I would accept him OR HER but only IF he or she did not try to force religious beliefs into the law. It is bad enough with the way christian religion spills over into our governmental practices and policies, I cannot wait until the church is totally separate from the state- the way it was SUPPOSED to be. This country claims freedom of religion, and therefore needs to purge the religiously prejudicial policies from our law books (IE marriage restrictions and scientific limits).

Why would we try to overthrow him? Now if he wanted to turn America into a Muslim theology then yes...but I would say the same about someone who tried to turn this country into a theology, regardless of the religion.
Being a Muslim does not make someone a bad person, when will people wake up and realize that the Islam they continously hear about with regards to terrorism is not the TRUE Islam?

the numerous reason Obama replaced into elected -- and re-elected -- is the lies and hate speech coming from bigots on the far good -- the lie that he's a Muslim being one solid party. No genuine American believes those lies. The haters purely guaranteed Obama a second time period. you should ask your self, although. How stupid are they that those bigots save repeating the lies besides the undeniable fact that that is lengthy been obtrusive everybody is familiar with they're mendacity and is not paying any interest to them?

It depends. If he's a Muslim who denies the fundamentalist teachings of the Imams who want to destroy the western world, then I would support him.

If he were a Muslim intent on ignoring our Constitution, I wouldn't support him and would try to overthrow him. Of course, I'd do the same with any fundamentalist of any religion.

Our U.S. constitution provides checks and balances. The Supreme Court is now majority Catholic. The Congress and Senate... hmmmm Actually, last time I heard, the majority there are Catholic as well. And the latest Pope is former head of the current Inquisition. Hmmmm Where's your Muslim candidate?

Quite a possibility; also that he shall complete his term. There have already been 4 Muslim Presidents. They introduced themselves as Unitarians. Perhaps the Asker has to know much more about Muslims !
