If it's a moving trip/large truck, the heaviest objects should be centered and as far to the front of the storage area as possible.If it's a road trip with companions,if you're going with some heavies,have them get in the car first, and sit nearest the door.

Heavy stuff on the bottom and as far back as possible so you can load other items. Loading a vehicle isn't any different than playing Tetris. You will also need to make sure to strap anything down that may move on you. Your vehicle should have some kind of lash point for bungee cords or tow straps.

Honestly, ar you going that far for that long? Your car should be able to handle whatever you toss in it and wherever you toss whatever in it whenever you toss the afore mentioned in it!
