Fake hair plait?

Ok this is gonna be hard to describe. But i would like to know where I can buy a plait of fake hair that I can pin into my hair to make a alice-band. I've seen Ana Matronic (Sissor Sisters) with one in at an MTV concert.

Im in the uk and have looked everywhere. Im not sure buying on the net would be good either as u cant compare your hair to the fake hair.

Help!

I reckon you should buy a normal straight hair extension and then plat it yourself if you're having trouble finding a plated one!
