Hello there ladies. I am always a little curious to know exactly what this confidence thing is that you find attractive in a man? I have the confidence to approach women but only when I know they Like me. Is there another type of confidence that you look for? e.g. The confidence to throw a beautiful smiling glare your way.......? Or something else? Please help. Thanks D x

basically we like a man who loves and respects himself.

Thats hard- its a really fine line between confidant and cocky. The best aproach is a relaxed happy one. If you look confortable and freindly then a smile goes a long way. If you look like your strutting or too cocky then a smile could look like a leer. I have mistaken cockiness for confidance with bad results before but now know how to read the signals. You just have to practise giving them off. Try making your aim rather than to 'score' but just to meet people, you'll probably find people are more open to meet you than distrusting of your motives.
Look happy, not like your evening depends on some one else. That looks confidant, if you look like everyone elses evening depends on you then you're too arrogant.

Some people just have an air of confidence about them, its not just one thing that can be picked out.
Its a combination of many things.
You being able to approach a woman only if you know she likes you is far from confident.
If you were able to approach her in a friendly manner without being to cocky whether you knew if she liked you or not, that is confidence.
And try not to throw too many glare's whether there smiley or not, a glare is very uncomfortable.
Try a subtle glance with a cheeky grin instead.

I think if a Guy were to approach a Girl that he knew didn't like him, then he's up his own backside & then some. So there's nothing wrong with only approaching Girls that you feel will like you also.
Confidence is being able to be yourself.
You can "practice" having a "WOW" factor all you like, but, that doesn't mean that you'll be able to pull it off with every female on the planet.
As you can see from all the different answers given to your question, different people have different desires. I like a Guy that doesn't try to be something he's not. A Guy that feels comfortable with himself & can just be "down to earth" You will find that no matter what you try you won't appeal to everyone. That doesn't mean you won't be likeable just that we all have differing ideas when it comes down to what rocks our boat.

nothing I can think of.
Are you confident enough to be yourself or do you put on a big act to make out that your something your not?
If so don't do that.
You'll only end up with some one who likes the pretend you instead of the real you

Girls don't like guys who look like they think too much of themselves, but we also don't like those blokes who hang their heads, looking at their shoes. We like a guy who looks strong, confident in himself, friendly and just "nice". Does this make sense? Hope so! A bloke who is not afraid to smile at you goes down real well too, as long as it's not a LEER.

Yeah a guy smiling at you is quite a confident sign - provided hes not leering at you!
Basically live by the rule - be confident - not cocky - and you'll do ok! xx
