The Intel Core Duo only goes up to 1.66ghz
The Intel Core 2 Duo goes up to 2.66 GHZ and maybe more...

generally speaking its the second version of the Duo, which has a few fixes, its better and faster, performs I think around 15% better than the Core Duo.

what you should concern about is you should get minimum 1 ghz of memory and minimum 160 gb of master and secondary hard disk and at least 6 usb ports and at least 3 ghz or 3000+ mhz cpu speed and dvd rewriter and normal dvdrom drive.

the others will follow.

ps: also at least 1 year warranty.
