Like stars in the heavens, our job is to shine brightly, even if, in the end, we will all burn out.

Just because Death is certain why does NOT one get into a bed , cover himself up and wait for the deliverance? No. The mind and the body will not allow you. These were given to you to play the roles you are assigned in this world.

If you start considering Death as the reward or winning post in Life`s race you will enjoy the race. Instead many are running , but in the opposite direction , hoping to be away from Death.

They donot know that the easy, better way is to run the race in the direction of Death BUT slowly, enjoying every moment . Whoever , ever told us that it is a fast race? It can be a slow race too!

Indeed there is no point knowing anything regarding after death because it has no relevance whatsoever to the present life. In any case we do not have the wherewithal's to know anything about death or thereafter either through our life or through anyone else. The curiosity in this regard is thus mere idle thought and waste of the life that we have to live right now. There are enough of things to know about life that is priority and if we go about that task properly, we would have no occasion or even time to worry about death or thereafter. Even our decisions regarding good and evil should better be guided by our life situation rather than by any imaginary scenario after death.

It's not hopeless. Why hold something inside just because you're afriad it might not mean anything in the end? Don't hold back with anything. Live life up and be out there and BE YOU. If that means asking questions or even answering one's you don't understand, you should do it!

if you are looking at it from a narcissistic point of view then it will seem a bit pointless. Why do anything when you will just die and be forgotten in the end.

Look at it from a community perspective, we are all parts of the whole. What we do affects those around us and we leave our mark on others not on paper or stone.

If we all just gave up hope, our society would crumble away and we would be thrown into anarchy, as no-one would think about consequence (if nothing matters).

a resounding yes! we ask. we learn. we ask some more. we learn some more.

if you believe that there is life after this, then most definitely asking matters. what we do with our time here and now, would greatly affect infinity. the length of time might be inconsequential compared to infinity, but what you do with it is of grave importance.

now if you don't believe in it [life after death], may i ask what you live for? don't you think that the little, seemingly negligible questions that you asked before [when you were young] have helped you become the person that you are now and the person that you will and shall become? think about it. were the questions worth asking?

I usually don't "like" surprises, especially at endings. I suspect that ones beliefs/faiths/religion, carries them through what might be a life of real or assumed struggle. To dwell on the prospect that it all may be for naught is a useless, depressive way to spend a life.

In this instance I opt for being surprised.

In this case it's not my death at all that will be regarded to any extreme, but my LIFE might be?

It is worth to do your best, it is true we die in the end. But if we do our best and live or life to the fullest. We will leave a mark in society. We learn to move on but never to forget of those who have fallen before us.

in earth history only one person came back after death and
hung out with people. that was Jesus, he laid a lot of promise
on us. so there is a lot of people with faith of their eternal spirit.
if you can look through the many religions dogmas and listen
to the simple truth, "ask and you will receive" then you are
in connection with your Creator. "blind sheep" people, stay hung up on dogmas awhile seekers find simple truth in asking.......
