Transport links have allowed us to travel in an unprecedented fashion. This era of world travel has opened our minds to the cutures and ways of life of many different people.

However, because we travel more, extended families no longer live close to each other, which has led to a lack of support for parents and hence a breakdown in society.

What do you think your teacher will say if you hand that in?

better: Emergency medical situations - helicopter can fly you to nearest hospital, economy - trade between countries is easier, freedom - you are not limited to living or staying in your home community, tourism industry - many people make a living planning vacations and arranging flights etc.
worse: pollution, accidents, vanity/materialism/greed (people "need" the coolest cars and will pay more than they can really afford.) This issue is very complex and controversial, but if you wanted to you could get into the war over oil - wouldn't be such a big deal if we were living a couple hundred years ago...

Good luck!

Just a few ideas:
Better: easier to travel, especially long distances - this makes people more aware of other states, other countries, other cultures
People no longer have to live near their work, possibly in the city, but can commute from more pleasant living areas
Worse: more CO2 emissions and pollution
more noise
more roads, runways and railways spoiling the countryside, traffic congestion, accidents
Hope this helps!
