I am looking for handmade items, cards, soaps, candles, gifts, art jewellery etc, that I can re-sell on my website (under construction at the moment. Is anyone interested in selling any items to me at a reasonable cost? This may result in you becoming a supplier for my business.

Thanks.

I am in the process of doing various local craft shows and have had a VERY good response from the public w/my craft. If this is a serious proposition and you would like more details/info, please feel free to email me via my icon/link.
(I don't want to look like I am "advertising" myself via this forum)

If you're looking locally for items for sale then you need to seek people in your area and speak to the artist directly. Don't forget what you're asking for is a niche area and kinda hard to fill with sales. Sometimes you get good initial response then it peters out and you're suddenly stuck with people trying to sell you bulk you can't move and can't give away at times. (After all, who needs more than one Lite Beer aluminum biplane?)

I am trying to sell my art, but for some artist, having them understand what the value of their time and skill is hard to appreciate. Keep in mind that if they don't know that understood value, it will be harder for them to give you a wholesale price. After all, I was taught that mark-up is a certain percentage over the top so that it can all be discounted when the sales slow down or there is too much of a product and there isn't a much loss to the retailer. After all, you're the one creating shelf or web space, so it's your expenses that need to be monitored most of all.

Know what it is, how you're going to sell, and who your marketed audience is, and you should do quite well.

Good luck.

I actually make crafts for church and school craft fairs and bazaars. I decorate small C-mas trees with lights and tiny ornaments. I sell all of them I can make. I sell them for about 7-10.00 each. I also make C-mas wreaths. I buy them at tag sales plain, then decorate them with really nice stuff. I sell them cheap 10 - 12.00 each. Most have a small stuffed C-mas animal sitting in the middle of it on the bow. PS - Don't do jewelry. Everyone and their brother makes jewerly.
