each person is different. You are actually only fertile for a few days a month. your fertile times is the few days before and the day of ovulation.

For a female with a 28 day cycle they usually ovulate around day 14 (day 1 being the first day of your last period) and then new period arrives day 28. This would mean that you need to have sex the days before and the day of ovulation. if your husband has a normal sperm count you can do it every day between the 12 - 15 to make sure you catch it. if there is a low sperm count then do it every other. sperm can live in the womb for a few days so as long as you do it day 13 you will be ok for ovulating day 14.

However not all women have a 28 day cycle, and you need to determine when you ovulate each month. This can be done with the help of ovulation prediction kits which you can buy in most supermarkets. you can also chart your waking temperature and cervical fluid to help you recognise it. see www.fertilityfriend.com for more info on charting.

Each woman is different and you need to establish what is right for you.

You have to learn how many days your cycle is and then start learning signs of ovulation. You can read up on all of this and learn on your own unless you have really irregular cycles which can make it a little more difficult. I did all of this on my own when I was trying to conceive. I found out that my cycles were 26 to 28 days long and found out when I ovulated. Just look up Ovulation, Trying to conceive. Free ovulation calendars, etc..online As for getting pregnant on you period, well, with a normal cycle no you cant, but once again if you cycle is shorter or longer, you could ovulate immediately after your cycle which would mean you could have sex on your period to TTC. There has to be an egg there and there cant be when one is being shed during mestration.

There is so much mis-information out there!

The best thing to do is take your temperature when you wake up in the morning. When you ovulate your temperature will rise. Ovulation usually occurs around the middle of your cycle, but it does vary slightly from woman to woman. Once you have ovulated the egg remains viable only for 12-24 hours. Another thing to look out for is your mucus. It will become stretchy, like egg white, around the time you ovulate. Sperm can only survive for an absolute maximum of 5 days (in very fertile, stretchy mucus). To increase your chances of getting pregnant you need to make love for a few days before you ovulate and one day after. The rest of the time you are naturally infertile and cannot get pregnant.

I would recommend taking an NFP course to increase your understanding and awareness of your body. LIFE UK runs a fertility awareness programme that is open to married couples. The Couple to Couple League offer an excellent home study course too which I highly recommend.

The best time is when your ovulating - which TYPICALLY is 14 days after the start of your period, but everyone is different. SIgns of ovulation include an increase in very sticky white vaginal discharge.
It's best to time sex a few days before ovulation and continue having sex every other day until you're sure you're done ovulating.

My hubby and I have been trying to concieve since last December. This month, we're aiming for every other day for this entire month. We'll see how it goes! Good luck to you!

The best time to conceive is during ovulation. Ovulation usually occurs between 8 and 14 days after the first day of your menstrual cycle. It depends from woman to woman. Some woman can feel when they ovulate by a slight pain in the ovary. You can use methods to track your ovulation, temp and ovulation kits. Also remember it is better to have sex prior to ovulation. Once you have ovulated you have a window of about 12 to 24 hours to conceive.

Good Luck

The best time to get pregnant is mid cycle. You can tell when you are most fertile by a damp feeling down below but usually it would be mid cycle.

the best time to conceive is immediately after or during ovulation. You will be able to detect when you are ovulating by either buying an ovulation test or monitering your body temeperature. If the temeperature raises by 0.2-0.5 degrees, you are ovulating. Another sign is that the discharge should be clear and thin, so that the male gamete can easily travel to the egg :) Good Luck!

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
