Life is too short, I know people say that a lot but it's true. This isn't a dress-rehearsal, it's the real thing - do what makes you feel good about yourself. Spending all day in a job you hate isn't much of a life in my opinion. If you leave, something better will come along - have faith in yourself!

I too am in a job which i dislike but the money keeps me there. Speak to most people and you'll find the same, mainly because we need money to live.
No one can say whether it is right or wrong, but you need to make a decision.
Do you want to stay in a job you dont like so you can continue to live the life you have become accustomed to or do you want to get up everyday and look forward going into a job that you really love even if the money is not that great.
Only you can decide what is more important, doing something you love of earning decent money.
Good luck.

It's not right and it's not wrong, it's just a personal choice. There are an awful lot of people out there working long hours in rubbish jobs to feed their families.
It depends on you - is there something else you wish you could be doing, which is a feasible alternative? No job is perfect - I think if you get on you enjoy 1/3 of the time you're pretty lucky.
If you don't really have any clear idea of what you would do instead, then perhaps you could stick it out and concentrate on using the money you earn to have fun outside of work.

Personally I wouldn't, you spend to many hours of your life at work so you have to get some pleasure from it, I'm sure you've got the skills to find work elsewhere otherwise why would they pay so much, start looking, you never know you may match your wage or better it then there is defiantly no problem.
I worked in one job for ten years loved it but then the company was taken over and things changed didn't enjoy it anymore so I left best move I made I was suddenly a lot happier even though my wage dropped slightly.
Good Luck anyway what ever you decide at the end of the day the choice is yours.

well for one thing, this isn't a "right or wrong" issue. it's a personal preference, and you need to weigh the pros and cons of the situation. if you hate the job to the point that you can barely make yourself get to work each day, that's not very healthy for you. can you survive on less money? or is it better for you to save some money up and then leave for a different job? i personally wouldn't leave until i had another job lined up first...you never know, you might even find another job that you like better that pays the same amount. good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I believe there is a balance everyone can endure on this. You know yourself whether it is worth the dred for the money or if it is worth the effort in finding something new to be happier.
Weigh up your quality of life now and work out what a realistic change of job would be.
Difficult decision but good luck deciding.

Write down the things that you hate about your job. Is it the commute? The co-workers? Do you feel stagnated?
Look at each of these items you come up with and decide if the things you do not like are specifically related to this job.
If it is not specifically this job, stay there and fix the things you do not like.
If it is specifically this job, decide if you can make it financially if you are out of work for a while. But once you decide on what does bother you about this job, you may be able to fix the things that do bother you with help from your supervisor. I have used this before and it really helped. Good Luck!

I'm the type who would rather love a low paying job than hate a high paying job knowing have to get up and be motivated fort he same miserable job everyday. If you find a job you like go get it at least you'll be better off and the company will notice you take the initiative to do things and be happy even at the low pay...Find a job you like....Think about it this way, you know when you go to any store and the service is horrible because the person looks miserable? Well, I've always wanted to tell that person, "If your not happy go find a job you like because I don't want to see your misery, too"

Well first of all, it is no good that you are so unhappy. But I see you said should you leave and earn less money...? Who says you are going to earn LESS money if you leave??? You might be blessed enuf to go somewhere they are paying you much more. But if you feel that your money or salary is going to take off, you stay. Believe me, if it got to the point of me actually dreading work and starting to hate everything, I would consider other opportunities. But don't leave until you have something set in stone.
