Communism has a world-wide death total near 100,000,000 people yet it's glorified as been so bloody great and a way of freeing the people, even today. Wear a T-shirt with a hammer & sickle in the street and no-one will say a word... wear a swastika and you'll get your head ripped off.
NOTE: Nazism is also $hit and also an evil regime. I just used it as an example of the differences between the effects each symbol has on people.

I agree! They are both $hit and deserve equal disdain.

It's probably because the Nazi nightmares got more publicity. You can only hear about Hitler and the Jewish holocaust day in day out. I think this is very much because of their symbolic power. Hitler was a very suggestive personality, while Stalin didn't look so flamboyant. And the Jewish holocaust is really perhaps the lowest point where humanity sank.

It is less known that gypsies were treated similarly. And as for communism... It was much tougher than what fascists did in general.
Also, communism has still many undiscovered documents, and Putin won't hurry to reveal them.

Finally, I think it also contributes that there was no open clash with communism. I mean, they were considered the enemy, but fascism was fought and destroyed, so we can do anything we want, while communism was accepted by the world.

EDIT:

Communism is basically a nice ideology, unlike fascism, so it doesn't seem to be that evil.

Like Babi said Communism has a nice ideolody. It wants to create a equal society, so everyone is the same. While Fascism is a nationalism ideology and using force though military power .

But when you look at how Soviet Union leaders (e.g Stalin) abused the power by using too much force, like secret police, then it get's as evil as Facism.

Not all Communists are evil.

Nazism emphasizes supremacy and that one specific race is extra suitable than all and sundry else. in this regard, genocide will unavoidably be a important component of a Nazis-tic rule. Communism is all related to the equality of individuals. that all and sundry is the comparable and all and sundry merits to be taken care of the two. lots of its ideals and principals stem from Marx's thought and the e book Utopia. Lenin, only like Stalin substitute right into a communist. even if, Stalin substitute right into a vicious communist in that he believed all and sundry substitute into against him and as a fashion to guard his rule he had to annihilate his investors. So with Stalin his killings weren't plenty executed because of the ideology of communism, extremely to guard himself. With Hitler, the case substitute into distinctive. He had to exterminate different communities different than the Aryan race (what he believed the Germans have been) for the reason that's what Nazism emphasizes: supremacy.

Uh,most so-called "liberals" do not wear hammer-and-sickle T-shirts or condone their meaning.

THIS is the problem. Both facism and communism are wrong, but conservatives get carried away with some of the questions.

Both are about equal in the evil department. The difference is that we fought a hot war against the Nazis. We are more offended when we see people that are embracing their ideas.

no offence to jewish but in most countries the media is in their hands, so communism can easily be glorified , and nazism is the ultimate evil. meaning those who were killed by the communists were worth less than those killed by the nazis??? seems like that...

Because too many on the left are ignorant of the ideas and ideals they support and how closely some of those ideas begin to approach a socialistic, if not communistic, ideology.
