Why Dinest Kartick and not Parthiv Patel ? Patel batted like a champion in the Challengers. Then what's wrong with him to be included as the second WK in South Africa ?

Nothing wrong with him. He needs a bit of encouragement from the media as well commentators. For an emaple, Patel, missed a stumping chance in Aus. against Pointing, he was very badly condemned & we lost the match. Similarly, Dhoni,missed a stumping chance against Kamal Akmal of Pakistan we lost the match. However, neither the media nor the commentators criticised him ..Being a young load, we had shown lot of guts against Aug. bowlers by opening the innings. Above all, he is victim of cricket politics. Had we encourage this chap probably, he would have become the best opener for Indian team.

Dinesh Kartik is a better choice as a wicket keeper as compared to Parthiv Patel. Hence he has been selected. If he fails in couple of matches, selectors may cosider Parthiv Patel as well.

parthiv patel is batting pretty well these days but one cannot find him in the indian team unless he hits a triple in the ranji,,, purely because mahendra singh dhoni is playing the minds of indians and even if he fails there is dinesh kaarthick on the cards. parthiv's keeping has definitely improved these days.

there is some talk about dinesh karthick as a middle order batsman but he was not performing well enough with his glows .
but,in the case of patel not like that.he need someone to have a
experienced coach to provide him lot about his carier from now onwards for both forms of cricket.because he has age to succeed.

for me parthiv patel is good cricketer in the firstclass matchess. but when it comes to international arena he tends to get bottled down due to pressure. now again he cannt face a good seam attack and not to speak about his inability to hit big shots like his counter parts dhoni and kartick.

aare yaar everthing is politics in this country. parthiv is coming from gujarat and there is no stong lobby for gujarat. pathan is coming because of baroda lobby and we have to show world that we are secular

he is a decent prospect who needs to be groomed and i think he should be groomed for the test squad....slowly the dhoni fever is bound to die down and we will hear more about him!
the reason karthik was chosen over him might be politics....
