I tryed for a baby on the 16th which was last thursday but today Iam getting shooting pains from my belly button down to my vagina? Is this normal? This will be my first pregnancy so I'm unsure of the normal signs. Can anyone help?

If an egg was fertilized, implantation (when the embryo implants to the lining of your uterus) happens, on average, about 7 days past ovulation. It can happen as early as five days past ovulation or as late as twelve days past ovulation.

Early signs of Pregnancy:

Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom

These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs.
Good Luck!

are you sure you could be pregnant as the HCG can only be detected normally from the 1st day of your last period. so this pain could be a slight infection or something. I think you need to see a dr who can give you a blood test to find out if you are pregnant and then he will discuss the pains with you as i dont remember having them with any of my pregnancies

You cannot even be sure that you are pregnant yet, these pains sound quite worring a i certenly dont think they are normal.
I would advise you to see the doctor if these pains continue today.
