You are not making a lot of sense, but this is probably because you are really over tired. I would suggest that what you need to do is to relax, before you try to go to sleep, rather than try to just crash out. When you get overtired, you can actually be unable to sleep at all, and get more and more tired. So you need to wind down before you try to sleep, if possible get some fresh air, and some exercise as this will help too, although if you are caring for someone else this is difficult. Can someone else take over for you for a while to get you a complete break so you can relax and recharge? Good luck

i get too tired to sleep looking after disabled husband, so every so often i take a piriton antihistamine and it knocks me out. you can do that for a couple of nights then the sedative effect seems to stop but if you do it every few days it works.
