I have a friend that has started a custom, just to make Christmas day a bit different.. They bake a birthday cake for Jesus and all gather round and sing Happy birthday, play birthday games, etc... (They get toys from Santa on xmas eve)

Gather the whole family around for a big dinner and singing and socialization. Take lots of pictures of those smiling faces too.

Church, call family and friends, take pictures, talk of memories, play games, have a nice meal, toast the family members who can't be there, toast those who have gone before.
