There are many ways we all can help people today. But we must make sure that we are first helping our selves.
If we have so many problems in our lives that are not fixed, it is really hard to fix another persons problems.
But this should not stop us from being helpful when we can. We may have some kind of knowledge, or resources that can help another person.
Helping a person can also keep our minds off of our own problems. It is better to give of our selves to others, than to wallow in self pity. We at one time may need help. If we don't help others, there may be no one to help us.
So , yes, it is possible to help others, we just need to be balanced about it.

The only thing we can do is to try.

To stand by and do nothing is unacceptable.

In the end, it is up to the individual to accept help, and finally help themselves. But sometimes, that cannot be attempted without help from an outside force first.

Yes....I help people as much as I can. I have also been on the receiving end of help from another person. Where would we be without each other? And I receive and immediate reward...an increase in seratonin.. the feel good hormone!

Yes. Sometimes it works for the good of all parties involved. Sometimes you don't realize you've helped someone else until you need help yourself.

Only if you want to. How does someone who cares about others who need help, decide not to help them? I'll never understand that. What goes around, comes around.

No
We only help others when we get something like blessings, satisfaction or expect thanks etc. and that depends on the education we have received.
