A friend of mine finally became sexually active about four months ago, but when she was with the guy, they didn't use condoms..

She hasn't had her period for 4 months..
I know most people would be like "DUH! She's pregnant" but when she took the test around halloween it came back negative (We had 2 tests for her, but she only did one..then again she never showed us the test strip either..)
but she swears up and down she's not pregnant....

Anyone know anything else that could cause that..
She's 18 now..
She said it might have something to do with the fact that her mom has two diseases or something that deal with her ovaries (something about having one is rare but having two is nearly impossible)

I don't know, if anyone has any suggestions, please respond, even if you just wanna say "Yeah..she's pregnant"..

Also.. isn't there a certain time amount before you can go get an abortion?? ((I'm against it but she HATES kids..and she would probably kill herself))

Thank you

You cannot legally get an abortion past 3 months so "if" she were pregnant, she would be past that stage by now i assume. Also, stress can cause a woman to not have her period as well as certain diseases. Here are the Signs of pregnancy for you:
If an egg was fertilized, implantation (when the embryo implants to the lining of your uterus) happens, on average, about 7 days past ovulation. It can happen as early as five days past ovulation or as late as twelve days past ovulation.

Early signs of Pregnancy:

Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom

These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs.
Good Luck!

she is probably in denial and may be pregnant id strongly advise her to go to the obgyn her little story about not using the condom once and only for a short period of time may be a huge exaggeration!
Tell her that you will be there for her and go with her to the doctor to get everything checked out it is NOT normal to not have a period for 4 months pregnant or otherwise tell her that if she is so afraid that she could have something wrong with her ovaries that it is even a greater reason to go to the obgyn.
About Hating kids...once you have had something moving inside you and growing and then give birth to him/her you fall in love! At first I was so angry that I was having a son but as soon as he was in my arms I feel in love with him and had never loved anything more!
Get her to the Doc...good luck!

Amenorrhea (absence of universal sessions) can ensue for various motives: tension, anemia, weightloss or earnings, strengthen in workout, hormone imbalance, thyroid sickness, drug abuse, polycystic ovary syndrome... In different words, the gamut runs from "no longer a brilliant deal, only wait it out" to "call your usual practitioner, something is incorrect." in case you have at the instant lost or won a brilliant sort of weight, replaced your workout or ingesting conduct, or are under so plenty greater tension than oftentimes going on, there is probably no longer something heavily incorrect with you, even with the undeniable fact which you should to get a blood attempt to ascertain you're actually not anemic (no longer eating sufficient iron), or while you're having different indicators different than for missed sessions, you have have been given the prefer to make an appointment with your usual practitioner.

well if she is pregnant - which it sounds like she could be ,I'm fairly sure that it is too late to consider an abortion it sounds like she is 16wks pregnant- at least. i have heard of girls periods stopping if they diet too much and loose a lot of weight or in extreme cases of stress. she needs to see a doctor asap in any case to find out why it has happened- if she is pregnant, there are tests that need to be done for her own (and the baby's)health.

She needs to go to the doctor. They can do a sonogram to check for pregnancy. If its not that, they can help figure out what it is. There could be something seriously wrong with her!
