i have the same experience! and you know what...what's more annoying is when the best answer does not really make any sense.

No, because I do NOT ask questions on YA anymore. However, yes, id o hate it when it's obvious some one is voting for their answer using alternate YA accounts to skew the voting when a question goes into voting for best answer. IF the answer violates the community guidelines in any way, like NOT answering the question that was asked DIRECTLY. YOU CAN REPORT IT. There is NO DEADL:NE for reporting abuse on YA or Yahoo. As long as the "Report abuse" hyperlink next to an answer or question is blue, the hyperlink IS ACTIVE. USE IT. Your question is a legitimate, knowledge seeking question. IF it is reported for violating the community Guidelines, APPEAL THE VIOLATION. MISUSING YA as a platform is becoming a pandemic on YA. It's more and more obvious that Community Moderation simply DOES NOT WORK and is being misused so often that the only solution may be to for yahoo to take YA completely OFFLINE. for several days so Yahoo staff can deal with the accumulated back log of appeals. I still have a letter to send to Yahoo CEO. She was in Washington D.C today, meeting with President Obama, along with the CEOs of of other major businesses.. Cyber-abuse and cyber-security are potentially serious NATIONAL SECURITY issues. There's a huge problem - there really are NO LAWS and no legal precedents in place when the abuser and the abuse victim and Internet Service that hosts an online forum like YA can be located in three DIFFERENT countries or states with a country. I've been cyber-stalked for more than six years, possibly longer, by one or more persons obsessed with discrediting me online, both personally and professionally. Internet law starts at the LOCAL law enforcement level. Your local police can't DO ANYTHING if your abuser is in a different state, and Yahoo Inc. is NOT legally liable, even though they are hosting the abuse.

Relax honey. You're a noob. It takes a minute before you get a foothold within the system. Just keep answering to the best of your ability and you'll be noticed eventually. Take it easy kid, it's just a game after all.

It's pretty normal to have that happen to anybody. But, know what? My experience tells me that the moment you get one best answer, there will be a LOT more to follow soon after that....
