it is when you feel like your world is crumbling. When you you feel like noone is there for you. when you cant sleep you cant eat you forget to breathe you become nauseas just sitting by yourself your mind blanks on you and you dont know where its been or what caused it to go there. your head pounds from all the crying you've done, and you don't know why you started crying in the first place. you want the world to leave you alone but you dont want to be lonely. the voices in your head decieve you and make you think your worthless, your hated and you dont deserve to live. they convince you that the only way out is death and no one will care or notice when your gone. it's when you cant talk to people cause the slightest sign of misunderstanding kills you inside with pain and anguish because your not as important. you literally want to sleep your life away, and actualy attempt to do so.
depression is not fun and it's definately not something to brag about. and if you dont have it, be glad cause there is no deeper hole to sit in than depression, and when you think you recover, you just fall right back down, it doesnt really go away, it's just supressed.
and yes i have experienced it, and continue to experience it.
i hope that you dont ever have to feel its pains.

I think everyone has experienced some form of depression. I believe that
there are varying degrees and it would be difficult to know that you have it.
If you have a reason for feeling blue then it may not be depression. If there
is no reason, or if you are sad about everything then that would be depression.
Yes I have been sad for months. After my mom and dad passed I was very
sad. I don't think it was depression, but it could have been.

To know ones enemy, is an offering of ways to battle that enemy. Depression, even in it's most modest form, is experienced by all.
Also the medical profession continues to tag us with names and definitions in diagnosis,,,sigh. AND medicate us into a numbness that denies/masks any ability to seek the reasons, and resolutions
In MY opinion,,, Manic Depression, must be one of the most confusing to the afflicted. Bi-Polar disorders have to be frustrating, in that at any moment one can feel UP, and soon DOWN again, even without stimuli.

yes I have felt depression. I existed in a depressed state of mind for more years then I care to admit. It's a useless state of mind but it's also very controlling.I went to bed every night praying to die and wake up in the morning mad as hell that GOD would not end my mental suffering for me.Then I realized there must be a reason for me to go on.I kicked myself in the butt and got back up on the horse and now my thoughts focus on what my purpose in this life may be. I still don't know what that is but I refuse to give up discovering myself.

its when you feel that you don't want to do anything; good and bad things doesn't make a change on the way you feel; you cant enjoy things; you don't care if you eat or not, you cant have a good time; you don't care if you do anything, and you just feel bad all the time; with negative energy all around you....and yes i did; and it felt bad; like i was in another tasteless, colorless, and calm world..
