I think I can live with a girl forever commited to eachother without the whole marriage thing and still be just as happy or even happier
...
but most of the girls wanna get married... so I can't have a family and kids without gettin married?.. I just dont believe there's a point to it .. If you trust eachother and love eachother does a ring really
matter ? ... If you find someone you truly love I dont think marriage is important...
And I always see on TV... husband kills wife... or wife kills husband.... I dont want no drama in my life so i dont wanna have that problem lol...

Your point of view is quite fair...my husband used to have the same exact one.
I am a firm believer in marriage...but knew to him it was an unnecessary step..
I didn't push the issue...and one day he says he looked at me and something happened. He already knew he was going to spend the rest of his life with me...but suddenly he felt he wanted that ring on my finger...that piece of paper....The committment to one another before God and family (And trust me, my guy was NO Christian boy back then)....

If you never change you mind..its okay...hopefully someone out there who is perfect for you feels exactly the same way...BUT...if you are ever gazing into a ladys eyes...and you see your future in them..your children...your life..and your heart is so full its going to explode...and you know you want this forever...even YOU may change your mind, and suddenly that ring will really matter.

Best of luck in love!! :)

If you don't want drama, stay away from women!! Wherever you see women, there will be drama. It's just a fact of life. A ring is nothing if there isn't love behind it. It doesn't matter how shiny it is, how big the diamond is or what it is set in. A piece of paper stating your married is just that, a piece of paper. You can be happy with or without a woman, might come easier without one though. Lol. You don't need to be married in order to have a wonderful relationship.

Well Vegas: Your not ready for marriage, that's all. I'm not going to say your not mature, I don't know you.
First you have to think of marriage and the legalities. What are you giving a wife if your not legally marries? nothing, if something happens to you, she's out in the cold.
You can own anything you want together and share, have kids, bills just like anyone else. Then one day, you have heart attack and die, where is she, out in the cold. Most States don't recognize common-law-marriages anymore so...? she's screwed, and the kids? got it, so, grow up and re- think your position, better yet, stay single and keep trolling, when you wake up old, you'll wonder.

What you don't read about boyfriends or girlfriends killing each other or having 'drama'? There is often more. And you can't possibly believe that every (or even the majority of) married couples kill one another! Those cases are exceptionally extreme - usually cheating or mental illness is involved. Unmarried couples will cheat on one another as freely (probably more so) than married couples. After all, what do they have to lose? Health benefits? An expensive divorce? Gifts given at the reception? Nope. Unless you went in together on the house (and both your names are on the title) or you live in a common law state you walk away with nothing more than what you moved in with. The ideal of marriage is what most of us have grown up with. It's as much a part of life as being born, growing up, reproducing, and dying. I don't understand how you think that anyone could be just as happy or happier living together without marriage than with marriage. Unless you have commitment issues and believe that without marriage you will always have an 'easy out'. Why would you want to raise children without being committed to one another formally? So that they can be raised with commitment issues, too? Our children are already facing challenges today that we didn't have to face as kids - why subject them to your ill-begotten anti-marriage issues.

Sounds like you should seek therapy and get to the root of your problem.

In the meantime, please don't breed! The world is already overwhelmed with an abundance of idiots.

Marriage has quite a few of legal benefits such as insurance, taxes, etc. But if your partner really wants to and you don't, you may lose something you don't want to lose. Give it some more thought and figure out if it really is a big deal to you or not.
