1. There were a lot....Indiana Jones, Empire and Jedi, Lethal Weapon, Terminator, ET.... all cutting edge movies, leading into the FX we have now....Then there were the "Brat pack" movies that described teen life in the '80's (St. Elmo's Fire, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink....Red Dawn, the Outsiders....)

2. Tons of bad movies, The CannonBall Run, Anything with Madonna or Keanu Reeves

I love the 80's!
My favourite of the 80's is 'Stand By Me' because it showed how important friendship is and it was very funny. Followed by the 'Breakfast Club' and 'The Lost Boys'. Sorry I told you it was hard to choose one.
The worst..? I'm still on that path, if there was one I probably forgot about it because it was terrible.

I also think "The Breakfast Club" because it was so much like it really was in High School. I also loved "Sixteen Candles".

As far as the worst, there were to many to mention. I agree with almost all the other posts.

Best 80's film... Repo man. GREAT film and Harry Stanton is one of my favorite actors.

Worst 80's film...Footloose.... Hated it because I can't dance and it's rubbish anyway ! (so there).

Best movie-Breakfast Club because we could relate to the characters, it allowed us to see how cool we were.

Worst movie-Breakfast Club because we could relate to the characters, it allowed us to see how stupid we were.

I loved Labyrinth. It was fantasy and it had great songs and lovable characters.

I didn't really like Weekend at Bernie's, just all around dumb to me.
