Of course New Delhi is the capital of India.It was the the capital since the moghals ruled India.Even in mahabaratha hasthinapur was the capital of Bharat.Bharath is the present day India and Hasthnapur is the present day Delhi.when british ruled India calcutta was the capital for some years.But again Delhi became the capital
