Sounds like you planted at the right time. the best time to plant grass is in the fall. I don't think you need to water much more this fall as we seemed to have gotten enough rain.We will assume it snows where you are so when the ground thaws it will do the watering for you. Might what to put on some type of fertilizer in the spring to give it an extra boost............good Luck

It sounds like you did a good job. The grass shouldn't need water until spring when it get dry. I would hire a company to spray the lawn in spring to control the weeds & fertilize.

Sounds like it is too cold to keep watering it. I am wondering when you resowed it because it isn't recommended to do this in late fall in areas that get at or below freezing.

Not sure what state you are in. But it isn't necessary to keep watering your lawn in the winter. Especially if you are already getting moisture there.
