What I mean is "You only miss what you've lost.."

Being vulnerable, then being hurt, makes you appreciate love even more the second time around?

Do you get me?????

If you didn't love first, you couldn't have gotten your heart broken. Many people take the things that make their lives worth living for granted and end up losing it all because they never considered that that was a possibility. Sad, but fact of life.

It depends...Sometimes it makes you more cynical and careful once you had your heart broken. Sometimes it is even difficult to love someone after a bad heart brake, but I agree that it makes you appreciate many things and values of your current partner compared to the one who hurt you.

I think that going through that experience certainly gives you an appreciation of that catagory of Love.
Each relationship is different and there is no way knowing that the next relationship will be anything like the one that broke your heart. Next time though I believe you would try harder if you felt you really loved that person.

That is a great question I am on the verge of finding that out myself because I am 26 and I have never been in love and never had my heart broken. I wish I knew that answer. (sorry) I just had 2 respond on it.

I didn't underestand any of it until I go my poor little heart broken, it is a pain that you don't really get over but it becomes more manageble to hold, and yes I found love after and I can love.

I understand your perspective, the broken heart sure gives one something to use in comparison.
However, I disagree. You don't NEED to suffer a broken arm to appreciate the unbroken one.

No not at all. Love is not about breaking hearts, it is about making hearts sing. You'll get over it.
