Oh, visit the Banaue Rice Terraces. It's so breath-taking. Experience the clouds covering you while viewing the terraces with it's cool climate. Also, the Davao's Pearl Farm is a good site as well as the Hot Springs in Laguna. And don't forget to go to Hundred Islands in Pangasinan aside from Boracay in Aklan and Puerto Gallery in Mindoro.
But if you are planning to come here, please don't froget to bring with you mosquito repellent.

The last place to be touched by tourism has to be Palawan and the northern group of islands called the Calamian group.
This is a stunning area where you will not find many tourists, but you will find good travel infrastructure. This area is waiting for the rush but is such a large area with so many places to visit that it will be many years before you find all the damned vendors and others who do not live here coming to rip people off.
I used to like Boracay 12 years ago but now you can't walk on the path without being asked to buy something or do a trip every 5 mtrs! It's the same in most tourist places, in Puerto Galera you'll have 10 muslim guys following you around trying to sell you pearls or rolexes cheap, and they all sell the same thing.
I've never been asked to buy anything walking the roads of Palawan, and I still haven't seen a kid holding out his hand asking for money.
All the people here are from this area, and have lived here a long time, so they already have their own lives and income.
The worst thing about tourism for me is all the assholes who flock in to fleece tourists and bump up prices, and take away business from the locals.
I suggest you look at northern Palawan, from Puerto Princesa up to Busuanga, especially Busuanga. 100 miles around with 100 islands and only 5 or 6 respectable places to stay and around 20 cheaper places. Half these islands are un-inhabited, and if you look at this resort, most of the islands look like this, but with no-one on them!!

I would suggest you go to Dumaguete by plane from Manila then by ferry to Bohol then by ferry to Cebu then by plane to Boracay by land travel to Iloilo by ferry to Bacolod City then go back to Manila. It's a tourist nearby destinations that you can hop in and has best place, nature and beaches to enjoy with. Spend 3days each.

Philippines is a great place to visit. You can choose from any of its cities depending on your preferred activities. If your into water adventure you can choose Boracay Islands and Palawan and if your into historical trip you can visit Cebu City, the country's oldest city.
You can read this article for nature adventure in Palawan http://www.divelink.com.ph/article1.asp and here is for your reference about Cebu City http://www.costabellaresort-cebu.com/cebu-philippines/index.php

If you want an off-the-beaten path, then I suggest Camiguin Island in Northern Mindanao. It has beaches, historical spots, cold and hot springs, falls, islets, volcanoes (7 volcanoes in an island of 5 towns!) and is quite rural and laid back.
Check my website for some info about Camiguin Island at CDO-Camiguin section

or check Camiguin website at
