We tried that but for a different reason. First "No" it doesn't hold the bacteria, I'm a MedLab Technologist. The gel is easier to use but more costly because you tend to use more unnecessarily and waste it and it's more expensive. We went back to bad soap.

I always thought that germs can't live in soap but I was wrong. Apparently you can pass bacteria on from soap. So I switched to antibacterial liquid soap after that.

Liquid soap is more expensive than bar soap first of all. Second, unless you get anti-bacterial soap, bacteria may linger.

Isnt soap supposed to kill the bacteria. It is used to kill bacteria, and so the bacteria on the soap will be killed by the soap itself.
Maybe liquid is better anyway.

since you're thinking.....wouldn't the soap itself kill the bacteria on it? I prefer liquid soap and shower gel myself.....

i prefere the gell. today most of the gells are economised. so you can put just enough to wash your hands.

i prefere using the alcoholic jell, but it is more expensive, and it tends to dries your hand.
