Anyone of the tomtom range is ok.They do have some good add ons aswell.I have the ttom 1 and also the tom tom go.They both do the same thing but the 1 is smaller and looks better imho.Try and get one with the biggest memory possible as you may want to install extras (speed cameras/bridge heights) all sorts of stuff.If you get a small card you will be limited to how much you can install.

But what ever one you buy DO NOT LEAVE THE MOUNT STUCK TO THE WINDOW,AND IF YOU TAKE IT OFF THE WINDOW CLEAN THE WINDOW WHERE IT WAS SO NO TRACE OF IT CAN BE SEEN!!!

What the scumbags do it look for the little circle on the window where you sat nav was and if they find it they break in to your car as they think you might have it in the glove compartment or under the seat.

good luck

Tom tom is great sat nav device .
The good: The TomTom One features a sleek design and is simple to use. It offers accurate text- and voice-guided directions and is affordably priced.

The bad: The TomTom One's points-of-interest database is a bit outdated and doesn't support text-to-speech functionality.

The bottom line: Offering just the navigation essentials and accurate directions, the TomTom One is an affordable and easy-to-use in-car GPS device for first-time buyers or anyone who wants a no-frills nav system.

you can also go for tomtom Go910;

like:
Wide-screen format shows plenty of information; high-quality spoken instructions; seven-digit postcode navigation and good street-finding make it easy to enter destinations

don't like:
Extra features like audio book reading, image viewing, MP3 playing and iPod control feel a little gimmicky; windshield mount is small; recharging is via in-car mount or desktop cradle only; no flash memory card slot

judgement:
The GO 910 performs its core navigation task very competently. The wide-screen format is an improvement, and the software is generally well presented and usable. However, it remains to be seen how much users really want the extra features TomTom has added

I've got a TomTom One and it's very useful! I've had no problems with it so far. I've owned it for about 5 months and travel from Preston to Lincolnshire (162 miles) or from Preston to Gravesend, Kent (200 odd miles) and back regularly (I work away from home and am based away from my main RAF Station and friends) I always use the TomTom on these journeys and always get there in one piece.

Highly recommend this model.

Dont buy one as your car wont be safe with it.
People who leave Sat nav system in the car get their cars smashed.
