You may have air in the system. Bleed the rads. If that doesn't work bleed the pump itself. Undo the large silver screw on the pump body a bit to purge the air, be prepared for the water spill with a cloth. If you are not confident get help.

sounds like an airlock or lack of water if you have a header tank a mall black plastic tank in loft check if its full or being fed OK.at the top of your pump theres a nut loosen that while systems running till noise stops.this happend to a customer who had just bought a new house when i checked tank there was no feed and a note saying fill me once a year what some folks will do save coppers had to bucket water up and fill it.what a job good-luck

Could be the pump motor, or could be the impellor inside the housing the motor is mounted to. the bearings of the impellor or the impellor itself could be on it's way out.

get that British Gas boiler insurance... so when it goes they will pay for it!! I think its only £12 a month. Could be worth paying.

Could be the bearings , are you sure its the pump tho, could be air or the fan

iT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE PUMP BEARINGS ARE WEARING, AND THE PUMP WOULD HAVE TO BE CHANGED
