I think with self tanners the most important thing about using them is exfoliating your skin first, and putting on gloves when you apply it. I have an aunt that swears by Mary Kay self tanner. Honestly she looks absolutely beautiful year round and it looks so natural. My aunt told me that I should use a regular non tanning lotion before I apply it as well to ensure that the tanning lotion doesnt stick to any dry patches of skin.

I am lucky to have the dark, tanned-looking skin that I have had since birth. I do nothing and don't have to spend much time outdoors to get my olive skintone.

I think Johnson & Johnson Holiday skin body lotion. It gives you a lovely healthy glow. Use the Medium to dark skin one though.

why would you want a tan? you can get deadly skin cancer from tanning, I would not recommend it.
