I have skin that's brown, and I love colours. I don't let myself be convinced to wear only a certain shade just because I'm brown. However, my personality dictates me to wear bright, happy colours like oranges, reds, yellows, peacock blue, deep purples and forest green. I also love medium to dark shades of pink for they flatter my skin tone like no other colour can.
Some people have told me to wear dark colours to avoid a shocking contrast against my dark skin. But, that's 'cos they are kinda old-fashioned or jealous! OK, so maybe you could stay away from pure white or luminous shades to avoid looking like a neon sign, but doesn't everybody? Black is a safe colour and flatters everybody, they say, but the colour just doesn't appeal to me. I hate grey, too! But, I do wear neutral colours like browns, tans, maroons and navy blues when I'm in a more "composed" mood or want to look serious. I also wear the ever-beautiful olive green colour when I want to look serene.

Because I am an African American Woman, I feel that colors from a Autumn motif look best against my skin. I am dark brown, yet combined with other colors, such as gold, chocolate, red, orange, the many varied hues of my pigmentation are accentuated...

i agee with every woman and light tans too. theres different shades of brown so u just have to c what looks good on ur skin. i think its just because the shades every women and me say play off brown so it makes the skin color pop and look beautiful

I've always thought lavendar looks wonderful with darker skin and brown eyes. Haley Berry wore a gorgeous lavendar dress to the Oscars one year and it was devine.

Brown skin can pull off any bold colours and patterns. As long as its not pascal...its a sure thing!

Any colour looks good if U knw how 2 carry it well
Black looks dh Best coz It will make u look Mysterious , glamarous.....basically dh colour Black suits for everyone

I think Autumny colours look good. But also green. My favouries would be orange and green and maybe some yellow.

i haf brown skin.. most bright colours complement our skin..
browns.. and blak are nice too...make sure the colour is not dull
either.. and stay away from greys.. my favourites are yellow!
