Change, or anything different worries them, and they feel psychologically traumatised.
They had a bad experience in another section, and feel that they can't put themselves through it again.
They like to feel members of a group, and feel guilty if they look for new peers or people to share their opinion.
They feel that they wouldn't be understood by people in another section
They feel that they qualify as experts in that section.
I talk a lot of rubbish at times!!!! it must be my psychology training!!!!

That either they are very curious about a certain area of life or they just forget to categorize.....their questions.
their answers... would be where they feel they can help the most with their own experiences

Maybe it is due to the fact that they are not interested in certain subject material and prefer to stick with what they know the best.It does not make them unintelligent.

...that they don't know answers in another section and they are confident to answer questions in a particular section...just like how you feel comfortable posting questions in a section..

they either have problems in that section of their life or they are lazy to look for the proper section
