They like answering questions!!!!!!!

2006-11-19 21:30:39 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 3 0

well, I'm like that.

I only ask a question if I REALLY want/need to know an answer and I can't find it on Wikipedia etc. I see no point in asking a question when the answer is so easy to find.

I love answering questions and helping others with their problems. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I know stuff and things and am a qualified aircraft engineer in the RAF (which gives me a good foot to stand on in the military and aircraft sections). I find it more interesting to answer questions. That's all.

It doesn't say anything about them but more about Yahoo for penalising people for asking questions. Five points taken off and only two give when they choose best answer. How does that figure? I make it a point of giving thumbs up to every question that I think is worth a place here. If everyone did that then I would guess a lot more people would ask questions (maybe). What do you think?

I enjoy comumicating with people and I love the written word, so I answer questions.
When I need info that I cannot readily find on the Internet or need an outside opinion I ask a question on Answers.
Nothing deep. Answers is like an evening out socializing without the smoke, noise or expense.

well that would be me you are describing and i will tell you why i do it..... i simply like answering questions.... no i am not a "know -it -all" (although some have made comments to the like) but i am telling you i of course do not know everything that is silly.......... i am also trying to build up points because when you get high enough you can ask as many questions as you want and already have a bunch of points.... i have questions i want to ask... and i do every once in a while.... plus i enjoy typing ...lol... and you get to type more with an answer then most questions ...lol....
plus i enjoy getting best answer.... and there is alot of answers i can get from looking up the infomation on my own...
if i am interested in oppinions... or poll type questions or cant find the info i am looking for or its being charged for i will most definately come to yahoo answers for help to my questions!!!

Either they have a lot of problems and need answers
They don't care about the points you loose for asking questions
They don't know they loose points for asking questions
They are curious as hell or
They are simply too selfish to help someone else instead of trying to get all their own problems solved for them.

They are some things that only you can sort out yourself.

I've answered over 1060 questions and asked only 37. That's a 96.6% to 3.4% ratio. What does that say about me?

They are trying to build up points to get to the next level, probably.
And they want to ask good questions not lots of meaningless ones

It does not mean that much at all. Sometimes it is hard to think of good questions and often easier to answer questions in black and white.

It can say a lot of things including:

They have a want/need to help people.
They don't want to ask much.
They are just point-scoring.
They don't like asking questions.
They know more answers than things they need to ask so their answer rate outstrips their ask rate.
