I think so. One can express themselves without risking judgement so you are more inclined to get an honest anwer and a sincere one as well - in most cases

It could work the other way - you can Bragg and fantasise without fear of folk checking up on you!

Seriously, I find I am perhaps more frank and forthright in stating my opinions and arguing against others than I would be if there were a flesh and blood person here who might take offence! Maybe it's down to the avatars - I don't feel guilty about offending some cutsie looking 'yoof' image or a grey silhouette!

i guess that all depends on the person in question. some people find it easier to just be themselves without risk of having to deal with people face-to-face, but other people like to make themselves sound more interesting than they actually are in real life.... it's like they have an internet alter - ego !

I would imagine so. For fear of rejection or a bad reaction, we may not always air our true views in reality. Here, it's easier to do that because you're a "virtual" you, shielded from actuality.

most people feel more secure getting their answers from a someone they don't know or asking a question which they might not be able to ask to someone face-to-face..moreover they get more responses from different people so they can choose which answer they like the best..
