Most of the Korean dramas and movies i watched involved in slapping the leading female actress. Is this part of their culture? I feel so sorry for the actress. They are so beautiful and being slapped. But they can really act well.

I believe it is reflective of Korean society where the man dominates. During my visits there, I was struck by the dimunitive status of women.
