My daughter (5) had her ears pierced today. When we were getting ready for bed we noticed that they are actually quite uneven. Is this something that can be fixed now or will we have to wait for the hole to heal and then re-locate the earring later?

Shoot, not what I wanted to hear. She is not going to be happy about this. And frankly, neither am I. I wish they had just done it right!

take it out, allow it to heal
repierce later ie in a month or two

and tell those people who did the terrible job so you can get it redone for free

My 11 year old daughter had her ears pierced at 5. We didnt notice how uneven they really were until 2 years ago. We went in and had one redone. Then it was too high, we took it out right away and so now they are still uneven. Definately take them out right away and let them heal and get them repiered after they heal.

Sorry to hear that. The bad news is that taking one out and letting it heal first before getting it done to match the other is your best bet. The good news is that since it's fresh, it'll take much less time to heal completely than if it were healed with the earrings in. Plus, you only have to do one, not both.

Most importantly, find a place that uses a needle instead of a gun. You get far more precise placement and the physical trauma to the ear is actually less (despite it seeming otherwise because of not being instantaneous). Guns are also notorious for being unsanitary.

I think you will have to take the earrings out of both ears and let them heal and then get them pierced again. Go to a jeweller shop or somewhere recognised for piercing ears. They will usually draw dots on. Check them before they pierce.

You will have to take the jewelry out, let the hole close and repierce the ears later. They should have marked spots on the ears where they planned to pierce her and you should have been allowed to check. For starters, I would go back to where you had them done and complain.

I suggest that you do not have them done by a Claire's employee seeing how they do not know anything about piercings, safety or hygiene.

well she's five so ur lucky. just take em out right away n apply cream daily cause theyre gonna be super sensitive, especially if she just got em pierced. wait a bit, a few months will probably do cause she's young and then take her to get em pierced again, prefereably a different place, cause well.. i think ur daughters ears speak for emselves.

when i was a kid my mom got my ears pierced and they were un-even and she did nothing about it so i had to wait until i was 18 to fix them and it was to late by then so please take them out and let them heal and them fix them but let the place where you got them done know they are un-even it is their responsibility to fix the problem.

If you only want the one set of holes you'll have to let them heal ..... otherwise you could get a second set of holes done so that the two pairs of hole are matching .... multiple piercings are common
