I take the LSAT in two weeks but cannot break 150 due to low logic game scores. I typically get 10 answers right out of 25. How do I raise my score on the logic games? Did anybody here struggle with logic games but it just suddenly clicked one day and you were able to understand the questions? My advisor told me that if I dont score at least 155 I can kiss my chances of getting into any law school in the nation good bye.

To answer your first question, I scored above 90% on the LSAT.
To answer your second question, you need to get some help. There is no magic answer to acing the logic games - you need to learn the rules and practice.
However, if you can't break 150, the problem is not just with Logic Games - the section is only 25% of the score. Remember that Logic Reasoning is worth twice as much as logic games, and that assumption-based questions (such as Assumption, Strengthen, Weaken, etc) are 65% of the Logic Reasoning, more than all of Logic Games.

Bottom line, if you need a 155+, postpone your test until February, and get some help. Check out a free Sample LSAT class at your local Kaplan center to see what we can do to help you get your score.

Yup (178)

Lightly's answer is a good one -- you need help, whether it's through a course, diligent self-study, study groups, etc.

When I first started taking practice tests my Logic Games were my worst scores. I have a couple tips:

Diagrams
The best thing to do is to learn how to draw effective diagrams. The questions are much easier to understand when you can express them visually. Everyone diagrams differently. There are tips in all of the books, and several of them are different approaches, so shop around. Find what works for you.

Fun practice
I got better at the logic games when I remembered they were like the logic games I liked playing as a kid. They've got these fun logic books in drug stores and supermarkets. Start carrying one again and practice the sort of elimination/diagram thinking you have to do for the LSATs. You can take the games on the metro, or while waiting for appointments. You'll start feeling that the games are more fun.

Focus
My theory of the LSATs is that to a large extent, they test focus. Learn how to focus on the test. Breathing exercises help. Don't let your mind wander. Don't get upset when it's challenging. Practice until it's normal for you -- and perhaps a little fun.

Good luck!
