I know that Fidel Castro was a friend of Prime Minister Trudeau and even visited Canada. I also know that Canadians frequently go to Cuba on holiday. Would the United States ever do the same?

Cuba still lets the USA use Guantanamo bay as a Navy base, and the States had to ask and recieve permission to house prisoners there. I suspect there might be closer ties than either side admits. ?But then again I am just a paranoid conspiracy theorist.

I doubt everyone could "win" in this state of affairs. There could only be countless ineffective human beings, it extremely is all. by utilising the way, the western side seems to have in general "consistent ideology" at the same time as the eastern block you pronounced has"inconsistent ideologies". The eastern block is extra probably to combat one yet another than against the west. and that i don't be attentive to how Turkey and Saudis have been given into the western block nonetheless. The Saudis and Turks could be seen as disloyal back stabbers waiting for a raffle.

I think when castro dies, america will move in to make it a democracy, castro is too, well, stubborn i spose, for the americans to persuade him, but I think when he goes and a weaker fellow steps in, it will be the end of the stand off.
