My holiday was cancelled and I have Euros to change back, about £400, but I lost the receipt from Thomas cook, is there a limit of how much i can change?

Legally, there is no limit. Thomas Cook may themselves have a limit on how much they change but I seriously doubt it will be as low as £400 (if they changed £400 into euros for you, they will change this money back into pounds for you). You will not need a receipt to change the money as you can change the money anywhere you want. However, if Thoms Cook are offering you commission free exchange into pounds on the basis that you exchanged money into euros, then you may need to prove Thomas Cook did the exchange.

there is no limit on what you can change back, it is the denominations that are the problem. Some bureaus wont buy back less than a 5 euro note, some bigger ones buy 2 and 1 euro coins also but no one will buy smaller than that. if you have a 100 euro note or larger you will need several forms of I.D. you don't need a receipt. If they say you need a one, take it to Thomson who buy back commission free for anyone.

No ,that wont be a problem ,and you dont need your receipt.
